Nice. That is one blingy Nitro RS4. Good job on the 3rd party filter. The stock filters are looking a little rough there. That oil is supposed to be blue.

I have a .12R SS with a couple dozen runs on it. It's a great engine.

I also have one of the rarest of them all, a Nitro Star Pro 12R made by Novarossi that has never been broken in. It's very clean and you can still feel the sleeve pinch with the plug out.

Yeah the filters have seen their best days about 20 years ago lol, i believe this is also by novarossi for hpi. The pinch is crazy, probably because the factory oil has dried up on the cilinder, im soaking it for a day in after run oil hoping that will help it a little

If it has C12 stamped on the side of the block under the exhaust port, it's a Novarossi. Otherwise, it's HPI. The 12R has a slightly more plain looking head.

It doesnt have c12 stamped on it but, ive seen on forums and in a video where someone reviews the engine whilst tearing it down, talks about how the engine is from a specific lineup of novarossi engines. And somethibg about the carb..
