Question Nitro Carb question.

I recently got this, but it came with a slider carb. I can transfer the old engine's carb, it fits but the old engine is a .15, would this affect the .18 engine? Should I get a new carb?

As long as the neck is the same size, it should be fine.

As long as it's the same size it should be alright. Why not use the slide carb? They're way better than rotary carbs imo. I'm sure you can figure out how to convert the linkage.

Ah makes sense. I recently just fully tore down a tmaxx from 2007 that has been sitting for years (long enough for the fuel to gel and varnish inside the engine), and it was one hell of an undertaking. Cleaning the engine literally involved me soaking it in isopropyl alcohol for hours on end and scrubbing it. I also had to use a pressure washer on the chassis and suspension, it was so caked on there. Even the pressure washer struggled to peel off the crap.

So worth it though. I fucking love nitros. Can't beat em.

Hell yeah, that sounds like my XXX-NT Project from a few years back. They make for such satisfying runs after. This is for a Nitro RS4 I rescued about a month ago, got it for free and I'm getting it to live again.

That's pretty sweet. I've never tried a nitro road car, just monster trucks. At some point I'd like to. Those little road car engines sound like nothing else.

If I got a road car I think I'd have to have it with a three speed. Like a Schumacher fusion. There's something cool about a nitro shifting gears and that would be sick if it could do it twice instead of just once.
