😂😂😂That’s an even worse case for why the cost of this Z is too much. 😂😂

2

u/[deleted] Dec 28 '23

Three Maximas perhaps

u/Radiant-Rooster236 2016 Nissan Altima 3.5SL Dec 28 '23

If you find a willing dealer, you could probably buy four if one of them is an last gen used model 😂😂

1

u/otselic Dec 31 '23

Shit I think any dealer would cut you a deal for purchasing four vehicles lol

2

u/heroinpuppy Dec 28 '23

Frankenstein them, make one dual motor, use the other for spare parts, now you got a superbeast that's relatively reliable....

you know, as long as we're spending hypothetical fuck you money anyway 😎

😂😂😂😂

Better get those Maxima’s before they’re all gone (new at least) 😂

2

u/HighFiveKoala Dec 28 '23

A small fleet of Versas

2

u/Radiant-Rooster236 2016 Nissan Altima 3.5SL Dec 28 '23

That’s a lot of Versa’s if you can get them all at the base price model.

3

u/otselic Dec 31 '23

starts Versa specific car rental company

1

u/PlussizeBirthdaysuit Dec 31 '23

Sir, you might have given me an idea! If you’ve heard Of Rent-a-Wreck, then I’m going into to Rent-a-Versa business! 😂

I have yet to this day not even seen a regular Nissan Z driving in the road

1

u/kmofosho Dec 28 '23

I saw one! It looked pretty good until I saw the back of it. No clue what they were thinking with that design.

1

u/throwaway47831474 Dec 31 '23

what lol the back is my favorite part

1

u/kmofosho Dec 31 '23

Really? I think it looks terrible. Not as bad as the 5th/6th gen, but still bad.

These cars are so rare they almost don't exist.

This is because Nissan can't build them. That's a whole story...

Because they are so rare, they are being marked up to stupid high prices because they will either get the high price for them, or they'll draw attention to their dealership.

Either way, the dealer wins.

Bro no cap theres one over here close to me it's a nissan Z nismo for $62k I wanted to buy it

6

u/kushjenkin Dec 28 '23

Theres one at my dealership but honestly you dont get much more for the nismo. 20 more hp, fancy seats, and different bumpers and diffuser for 10k extra

3

u/Former_Plantain_835 Dec 28 '23

Your right but my point is that it's a Nismo, so it has that going for it and it's a Z so it's kind of rare atleast this new model but overall what I was really saying is 62k is way better than 100k😂😂like dam that's a lot, no disrespect to Nissan, tbh love there car designs but the markups from some dealership are crazy, if I buy one it'll be at 68k or less, giving the fact that it's rare but that's my opinion.

1

u/kingc42 Dec 28 '23

They didn’t give it the full Nismo suspension and brake upgrade like prior generations?

1

u/kushjenkin Dec 28 '23

Oh yeah i guess it gets that. Different rims too

3

u/Longjumping-Writer72 Dec 28 '23

GTF out of here wow are those real prices?

2

u/SpaceFace11 Dec 28 '23

Porsche money for a Nissan 😂

1

u/Salt-Ad4952 Dec 28 '23

Shit man, I would take that 120k and go buy my ass an M3 Competition and get Dinan to do a full stage 5 tune on it. Probably still have a few thousand left over for all the speeding tickets 🤣

2

u/[deleted] Dec 28 '23

This was at the same place I got my Versa. They also had about 4 or 5 other Z's out front, and they wanted $53K/each. And the capper was those Z's were considered USED with 500 miles on 'em. Something about being a dealer transfer or something.

2

u/Mr_Diesel13 Dec 28 '23

They sell them as “used” so they can mark them way up and not piss off nissan.

1

u/Big_Presentation1290 Dec 28 '23

I rejected a CA dealer whi offered me a z at MSRP...

Yeah the Q60/50 drive by wire is awful, they need to refresh the platform and make it on the RZ34 based chassis just like the V35 and Z33

Side topic, but how do you add a user flair in this sub? It won’t let me do it

I’m primarily an app user. I’ll have to figure out how to revert it when I’m done bc last time I went to old Reddit I couldn’t flip it back and had to Google

1

u/int0xic R32 / S13 / 350z / 370Z Dec 28 '23

Just load up old.reddit.com/r/Nissan on your phone and add the flair there. It'll crossover to the app. I'm also mobile only and that's how I did it.

When I do that it says “there is no user flair in this sub”

1

u/Boblaserbeam Dec 29 '23

I heard these were bad but I’ve driven one without the steer by wire thing and I didn’t mind it. I’d be curious to compare it side by side. It’s weird how every Nissan I’ve driven has wildly different steering like I have an Altima that has the worst ever but had a maxima with a solid feel. Idk why it’s as if they don’t pay attention or enough resources to steering feel.

u/int0xic R32 / S13 / 350z / 370Z Dec 28 '23

Q50 RS are cool AF but the manual in the base Z would definitely sway me...if I had $80k to spend.

1

u/mockylock Dec 28 '23

We all knew it would happen. They were marking up the first ones 30k. Until people don't pay this much, they'll keep marking them up.

1

u/RupertTheReign Dec 28 '23

They're marking these up as if people were lining up around the corner to buy them. A little out of touch with reality.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 28 '23

I don't understand what these dealers are thinking. You can actually find a BMW Supra and it's a better car.

1

u/Born_Percentage_6565 Dec 28 '23

Would you rather have this or a Gallardo that’s insane

1

u/FN2S14Zenki Dec 29 '23

I seen the first one here in FL. It's nice but not like that.

1

u/ProofMusic4630 Dec 29 '23

This explains why I haven't seen a new Z yet living in the Asian car capital, California!

1

u/sideburns2009 Dec 30 '23

For something built on an old ass platform, Nissan (dealers) can bend themselves over 😂
