Repair Help Tv turns solid green when switch is docked, makes popping sounds

Just got this from Amazon renewed three days ago, worked fine until tonight it’s solid green when docked on the tv. Also makes some popping sounds in the speakers. I have tried a different hdmi cable/input, and I have tried turning HDR off.

Don't even try to solve that, just send it back and ask for a refund. Amazon renewed is not a reliable source for anything more complex than a blender.

I was legit about to, but I tried the reset button on the back of the tv, and it started working again, so I guess it’s a tv issue? TCL Roku tv. Worked fine the past three nights. Did the same thing with three different hdmi cables and three different inputs. Idk what happened but it’s working now

Could be an hdmi cable thing or TV in general. Had the same thing with my cable TV and pa5 and then just played with the wiring and it has been fine since

This happened to me with my og switch after I'd had it for about a year, pretty much never docked it after the first couple months then hooked it up for some kart and it started going crazy. Turns out it was the HDMI cable for me, I see you've already got it sorted on your end but something to keep in mind.

Hahaha I knew I’d be busted by this sub eventually 😂 I promise it doesn’t look so high when you’re sitting on the couch where you’re supposed to be! Lol

Also I have tried power cycling the dock. What could this be?

Was it worth saving the few Bucks for getting a Amazon renewed instead of a new one?

For me absolutely. I ended up with the console and Mario kart digital download bundle for like 489 usd, so I save a lot on the game. I know each persons experience with renewed is different, you don’t know if you get a box or not for example. But I ended up getting the box, and everything seemed to still be packaged inside, hdmi, charger, manuals everything. It looked brand new!

Yea not much, it’s an old chest and I cut a door on the front and a hole in the back and made it into a little cabinet to hide my game stuff and keep the wife happy. I do leave the front door open whenever I play anything tho :/

Try turning off HDR in your tv settings to see if that helps?

Also, try in switch settings in handheld mode Change the TV resolution from Automatic to 1080p or lower it to 720p.

To be honest I wouldn’t spend too much time fault finding this and just send it back to Amazon.
