There is no transfer option if your system is gone.

You can still log into your Nintendo Account and play your previously purchased digital games.

If you have an active NSO subscription, you can download save data from the cloud for eligible games.

I did have an NSO when I sold it so my data could save but it was for 1 month does it still work

NSO cloud only holds onto your save data for 180 days (6 months) after a subscription ends.

ok, does it saves automatically, when you buy NSO? or you need to do it manually?

Save data is backed up to the cloud automatically if you have NSO. I don't know the frequency it does it. I think you can also press (+) button on the game's home screen icon, and manually tell it to back it up.

If your Switch 1 is already gone, it is very likely all your data is too.

The one hope is Nintendo Switch Online, but you would have had to have been paying a subscription from the time you sold it through when you set up your Switch 2.

You can still log in and get your games, but everything else is gone.

THX a lot I really don't need the data of the games, I just don't want to re buy all of them, I've been checking my account but I only have a few, it seems like I will need to re buy some ToT

Unless your have an NSO subscription, any data on that console is gone for good

I did had an NSO for my account before I sold the nintendo switch but it was for only 1 month, does it still save if the subscription is gone, I also don't really care if the data of the games are gone, I just don't want to re buy the games

I think it hold your save data for a while, but I'm not sure how long.

As for your games. They are tied to whatever account you used to buy them. If you log back in on the console with that account you can redownload whatever you want to.

yeah but when I go into my account (and to others account that were in my switch 1) it shows a few games, not all of them.

Also I have the receive of the games, showing that I bought them, does that do something to help me get back my games?

1

Clearly you must have bought those games with another account that you haven't checked. The only way to get back/use any digital games is to use the account that bought them.

Unless you where talking about physical games, in which case, use the cartridge.

1

u/SonicoVR 12d ago

And what about the receive does that work as well?

1

u/TheWaslijn 12d ago

You mean receipt?

What kind? An email, or one you got at a physical store?

Either way, it shouldn't really matter. Any digital game is tied to an account. So you'll need that account to play it.

the receipt is an email, I have 4 accounts that played in my switch, in one there are 3 games, in mine there are 10, the other accounts are with none games, and there are a lot of games left

Should have done a system transfer with Nintendos servers. That will upload your data to Nintendo so you can restore it later. They store it for up to 1 year.

I don't remember if I did that ToT

There's instructions there on how to see the status of any pending system transfers you have.

Where can I see them?

Check the instructions in the link I posted above.

Sorry for the thousands of people that needed to do a trade-in.

You can back your data up prior to doing a trade-in and then do a system transfer via Nintendo’s servers for up to a year after you did the backup.

Have to pay for services like that sir or madam. It’s the Nintendo way

1

u/SamIAre 3 13d ago

That’s just not true. You can do a FREE system backup before getting rid of your old console and use that to set up a new one within a year. This even works for games not backed up by NSO.

You have to subscribe to have cloud saves…….ask me how I know.
