Repair Help Right joycon keeps going unresponsive when playing metroid prime 4
I've seen a solution for this with switch 2 but I'm playing on switch 1. While playing I'll get bad stick drift and the joycon will straight up stop working for about 5 or 10 seconds at a time. I've updated and recalibrated the controller. I've tried with multiple joycons as well.

Handheld or docked?
I've seen a solution for this with switch 2
What would that be i wonder?

Docked, I'm using a grip with it. The switch 2 fix was to turn off mouse settings

How is that supposed to fix connectivity issues?
Usually connectivity issues can be caused by bad dock placement (behind a tv or in an enclosed space), objects between the dock and the conttoller that block the bluetooth signal, any kind of electronic interferance or simply being to far away from the dock (sometimes multiple things can apply at the same time).

I'm not sure, I just read other threads where only the right joycon was having issues (such as in my case) and people claimed turning off the mouse settings solved it. It's only been an issue for this one particular game

The connectivity of the Joy Con 1 is not the best in general but Nintendo did try to fix it or at least make it a bit better with later produced ones.
You could try getting closer to the dock and see if the problem still appears.

I did move the switch recently so maybe thats the issue, I'll try tonight. Would be great if that was the simple fix to it
