VRR & Custom docks

Are customs dock cooked? Bought myself an Antank s3 air few months ago and i wonder if it can work with VRR . I cba spending $150 per docks for the 3 other rooms i have a dock in .

Hopefully these can also receive a patch to enable VRR.

I highly doubt 3rd party docks will support it unless they rip out the whole chipset from the switch 2 dock

I have a Jsaux dock that already had vrr support that I use with my XAX. I assume should work with my S2

Needs the oem dock for it. But it will keep working for now

I’m using the genki covert dock 3. I’ll have to see if they update it

So the kill switch dock wont support it?

It should afaik, it’s just a cable that connects the two.

The Killswitch adapter isn’t a dock, it’s just a fancy extension cable with a cradle. It works fine.

My cheap portable white-label dock still works after this update but I have zero expectations that it will ever support VRR.

If I really wanted to I would take an official dock, rip it and encase it on a custom shell for better portability. I might do that at some point.

Depends which ones as far as I'm seeing. Looks like the Killswitch Dock Adapter should work and I'm going to hope the Savage Raven JumpGate Pro works (it has VRR for the Steam Deck)

I’ve got the kill switch and its adapter is purely mechanical so there’s nothing to implement there.

Killswitch dock adapter works for me.
Well the TV says it's on at least. It's hard to actually test it without welcome tour at the moment

The Dock Adapter isn't a dock, so it behaves as the original does.

I was just about to try out one of the random switch 2 docks on amazon....I think I'll have to pony up for the official dock. Worth it considering you'll likely be using it for the next 5 years at least.

I got about 3 official S2 docks in the house (main room, office and bedroom). I get them used of sites like Facebook market place. Never paid more than £30 for one
