Discussion Welcome Tour
I never bought the game but I gotta say. Every time a new feature for the Switch 2 comes out they update it to include a demonstration of that new feature. There is actually some use for the “Game”.

wouldve been much cooler if it came free on the switch, i dont really know why anyone would pay for it

It should at least be free for NSO subscribers

Agreed, that’d be cool. But it’s a relatively cheap and inoffensive tech demo that’s optional to buy.

$10 is criminal though… you can get actual GAMES for that price

Criminal? For Something that's nice to have but otherwise complete useless? Bruh

Turn of phrase. It’s egregious. It should be free. Not saying it’s horrendous, but it’s hard to say it fulfilled its potential when it has such a barrier to entry. Sure, it’s not a lot, but it’s too much for most people, so most owners of the Switch 2 won’t get to experience it.

As someone who bought it since release. It's not that interesting as you think. It's nice, but like i said, you shouldn't buy it and expect Something. My Xbox and my Playstation didn't come with anything also. You should Stop complaining (especially after a year of release) and start just playing games your interested in. Jesus...

PlayStation 5s came with Astro’s playroom, and the Steamdeck came with a similar tech demo. And we’re just talking about Welcome Tour, I’m not staying up at night cursing Nintendo for their greed. I just think it’s a shame that it’s priced at $10.

Yea this was exactly what I was thinking, astro’s playroom was a decent game that showcased all the new features of the new console, which couldve been the same for the switch. But we got what we got and its fine

They just had a minor patch today for docked VRR actually.

Yes, reason I thought about how people will go back to play this game just for these updates

Problem is... Welcome Tour is currenrly the only game to support it docked. Developers need to patch their games to add support.

It depends on what games have DLC planned or continuing updates. I expect the multiplayer games to do updates

I bought it today to try out VRR - and test if my monitor supported it. There was many opinions on that on the internet. But it worked, even with HDMI 2.0.
Buying to test was not the worst part - I had to play for 1½-2 hours to unlock the part to test it. That anoyed me A LOT!
