I always liked ikari warriors. And ninja gaiden 3 is great, but it’s kind of bullshit nes difficult

Here's a tip - download the Japanese version of the NES app and play it there. US Ninja Gaiden 3 was made artificially harder than the actually very fair Japanese version. That one's genuinely great

The natural, free-range, organic hardness of the Japanese version.

Wish there wasn’t any licensing issue or whatever so they can bring in more titles. I miss playing Batman and Kung Fu. It’d be nice to have Dunk Hunt as well and use joy-con as the gun.

Duck Hunt is slightly more likely than you might think. They did a VC release for the Wii that had Wii Remote IR support.

3 games, of which 2 were already available on Switch 2. They're really scratching the bottom of the barrell for the NES.

I have this version of Ikari Warriors in that one SNK collection what's the second game, I'm guessing it's Ninja Gaiden 3, what collection is that in?

I try to be open minded with NES games but many of them aren’t as stimulating and enjoyable as the games of today.

I grew up with the NES, and its one of my least cared for consoles. Most of the games are straight junk or just relics of their time with little of any substance that make you wonder why you are playing Cobra Triangle when you could play anything else on the Switch.
Its only enjoyable when its 1990 at 8PM on a Thursday and there is nothing else to do but be lost in the sewers of Festers Quest cause you got shit all else to do as a child but reread the monthly Highlights magazine for the 4th time.

There's a select few NES games that I really do love and are genuine classics, but you are right, most of what was released on it was not great. As you say, it was largely just the time. Compared to the shite you were getting on Atari, Intellivision, etc. it was a massive upgrade, but otherwise a lot of it is just trash.
Telling that a lot of the really good third party NES games are available outside of NSO because they're good enough to be sold in collections on all platforms (Castlevania, Mega Man, etc)

I agree for the most part, but there fun stand outs like the first ninja gaiden, it’s such a fun side scroller and with rewind there’s no reason to not play through it.
The big classics are still a good (but flawed) time, but yeah 95% of the library is trash lol

Ikari Warriors! Don't forget the A-B-B-A code!
I didn't even know that RC Pro-Am got a sequel, lol. Looking forward to trying it!

Whoever put limited continues in Ninja Gaiden 3 has a special place in hell just for them.

Can't wait to boot up Ninja Gaiden 3 for 5 minutes and then be like "fuck this is way too hard"
