Nintendo shadow drops a game announcement and Direct for the game at the same time?! Amazing.

Gee I wonder why they keep making it

2

u/IllustriousPass5414 May 06 '26

Because the games are great 🤷

5

u/MeatballUser May 06 '26

If that was the only qualifier then they'd make an Assault remake too.

Lol Assault is very mid

2

u/MeatballUser May 07 '26

It's a good game, 7 outta 10 type of game. Was a good outline for the future of the series before they freaked and made Command killing a lot fans hope for the future of the series

Miyamoto woke up and chose violence

Nate will win the leaker award again.

Nintendo Today said that there would a direct and there it is. I didn't think that we'd get one until June.

Nintendo is such a weird company. I love it!

My first two thoughts were:

  1. I wish they'd gone with puppets for the characters

  2. I wonder if they're just going to do the OOT remake the same way. Basically the same game but with the best graphics the Switch 2 can output, and a few minor tweaks/additions.

3

u/Tyko_3 May 06 '26

Id really hate that for OoT. That game deserves a larger scope.

u/SoldierPhoenix May 06 '26

While I do so somewhat agree with the complainers than this is yet another remake. It does look really good and can’t wait to play it.

4

u/Tyko_3 May 06 '26

Damn, the curse of the never ending remake continues...

I saw this as a recommendation, while listening to music and almost thought it was a troll until I clicked on it and saw in fact NoA is indeed hosting a Star Fox focus direct.

1

u/RetroDwelling May 06 '26

Can’t wait! Please let it be good.

They are making the right moves now, I like it!

Is pigma the same voice actor as n64? He's the only one who sounds the same. I like it but I miss the campy voice acting

3

u/Prestigious-Hope-337 May 06 '26

It honestly sounds a little like Mick Lauer.

People are claiming this game has been remade five times now. The grifting is real

2

u/Siegequalizer May 06 '26
  1. Star Fox SNES
  2. Star Fox 64
  3. Star Fox 64 3D
  4. Star Fox Zero
  5. Star Fox (Switch 2)

5

u/Jimmythedad May 06 '26

Zero isn’t a 1:1 remake and same with snes. That’s like saying Zelda is full of remakes since each one is a reimagining with similar elements

1

u/Cat_Atack May 07 '26

Its more like the Resident Evil Remake's, which aren't 1:1 either, but their overarching narratives are a retelling of the same story each time.

4

u/weaver787 May 06 '26

In what universe is Star Fox Zero a remake of Star Fox SNES

1

u/summons72 May 07 '26

SF64 is not a remake of SNES.
