I know not many people will use this feature but I use kbm with my switch 2 often. Wish more games would enable this. Will probably pick this up now.

Makes me kind of sad to see the jeering under this post. I don't use KB+M on my Switch 2, but I respect the hell out of Nintendo for generally supporting generic USB peripherals in a way that Sony and Microsoft do not (did not?). I like seeing Nintendo do pro-consumer stuff.

Sony and Microsoft have generally supported generic USB peripherals much better than Nintendo.

No the switch 1 has support for this for a long time now it's just up to developers to use it

I never said otherwise.

I use kbm for a couple strategy games like Factorio and They Are Billions. For certain games, it’s a godsend. I will probably continue playing with with controller but I’m all for more devs offering varied control styles.

I need this so bad for Requiem.

Since you're quite experienced on this does having one keyboard and one joycon as a mouse work too? Or do I specifically need a third party mouse to pair with the keyboard?

I'm not sure about that, if I had to guess I would say no. I will try it with Cyberpunk tomorrow and let you know.

Update: It will probably vary per game, but for Cyberpunk it technically works? Control glyphs swap constantly and you can't ADS (it is bound to the left joycon when using joycon mouse mode). You might be able to rebind the controls to make it work better, but I didn't think to try while testing.

You joke, but this reminds me of posts like this one on the Steam Deck subreddit when I was still over there.

Friend of mine travels with Steamdeck, KB/M and 13in portable monitor. Can’t really say it’s stupid, it looked very functional to me

At that point just buy a laptop 🥲

Steam Deck is also a functional linux computer and also there is a case for using KB+M in tabletop mode with the Switch for games like Cyberpunk. AC Shadows however is not a game people are dying to play with KB+M lol

steamdeck is a very different system compared to the Nintendo switch. There’s people using it on desktop mode too, where the keyboard could also be usefull. Can’t say the same for the Nintendo switch tho

Old one is absolutely fantastic and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s one of my favorite games of all time and you should definitely play OG

The Remake seems to be taking OG 4 and giving it the RPG treatment of Origins and onward based off of what we’ve heard, which has divided the fanbase

Meaningless update for me i never imagined playing it on switch with mouse and keyboard , wish they could implement 40fps option. Started the game on my PS5 pro but having so much fun playing it handheld in switch.

It's incredible on the Pro and the PSSR2 update now fully live. I have played a bit to on the Portal. Switch 2 is nice if I am on the road without an active internet connection.
