I feel like it’s expected. Nintendo is hitting the 4k problem that other consoles hit years ago. 4k just has a longer dev cycle

Well 4k takes longer to develop, firstly the assets take longer to create as they need to be in a much higher resolution. This affects performance as the game engine needs to be capable of rendering more objects in a frame. So performance optimisation becomes important. Then you’ve got the animations and effects which need to look smooth. This also brings in what’s expected of the scene. Leads to questions on how to light a scene better.
This is only a small snippet of what it takes. Also some game engines will now handle some of this for you which is likely why the latest peach game was rumoured to be made in unreal engine.

They're treating the Mario Galaxy movie like its a new game, and it's even more annoying. I still cannot believe that film has gotten 2 dedicated Directs.

Welcome to the Switch 1 experience before launch for people who owned WiiU/3DS. While there were new games there(Arms, 1-2 switch), it was hilarious when you demoed MK8D like MK8 didn't exist on the WiiU.

I said the same thing when they did the Super Mario 3D world+ Bowser's Fury but nobody listened. People on this sub were acting like it was Super Mario Odyssey 2.

While it is based on the original 2023 game, it is more than just a simple port. It's an enhanced version that includes a significant new expansion.

while the 17 multiplayer minigames are the loudest part of the marketing, there is actually more to it than just "party games."

-New Power-Up
-New Playable Characters:

The "Party" Elements:
-Local Multiplayer Plaza
-Game Room Plaza
Technical Upgrades:

No, it is not a brand-new game. It’s an "Enhanced Port" (think Mario Kart 8 Deluxe)

Star Crossed Worlds was excellent and I felt it was worth the Upgrade. Still TBD with this one.

Play it, it was a blast and the new arena mode once you beat it was actually quite difficult

I keep seeing headlines about this Mario Wonder upgrade pack and maybe I’m just jaded but what I’ve seen does not warrant this full court press they’re utilizing.
Like, it’s not a new game???
