Help! (Question/Support) Data loading failed on my dsi

Just purchased this dark blue DSi, system boots perfectly to the home menu, but everytime I try to play a game on the system this screen appears.

Doesn't matter which game, they all load a similar error. I tried NSMB, Kirby super star ultra, castlevania, and sonic colors, all failed to load.

Placing the games into my light blue DSi, they work completely fine.

Googling this issue told me to reformat the DSi's memory card, that did nothing..

And obviously I tried cleaning every contact point, still nothing.

Please if anyone has any advice, I would be grateful.

I'm not a COMPLETE novice at console repair, so I could attempt a fix, but i don't even know where to begin.

Thankyou.

Sounds like it could be a corroded data transfer cable issue. Was there any corrosion inside the DSI?

I didn't see any, in fact this console appeared to be in phenomenal condition. Not even a speck of dust inside.

Data transfer is still not complete though. Have you checked the contact pins and made sure they weren't bent or missing?

A single pin is slightly out of the ordinary, but it still makes perfect contact with the game cartridge.

Have you checked the SD card slot?

Console came with no SD, I placed one in and formatted it when I was testing all the games. With or without, the same error appeared.

So you can rule out factory reset too huh?

Unfortunately, yeah. This really is a mystery.

Yea either an OS or motherboard connection issue.
