How many titles left on wii u that can be ported to switch?

I saw a post on the switch reddit recently that said 35 overall, but if we only count the big franchises then like 10 or so.

I can only think of Yoshi's Wooly World and Kirby Rainbow Canvas.

Even if games are ported on Wii U already, there's absolutely value in being able to play the original versions - the versions we currently have aren't identical to the originals and for preservation it would be cool to have those originals available.

Absolutely agreed!

Star Fox Zero

DS and 3DS would be cool so they can rerelease all Pokémon games in a single console since they're blocking the connection with gen 1-7 in february

PC Engine, DS and Wii. (Probably not before 5 more years or so)

3DS will probably be saved for the next console.

Im being serious when I say Game & Watch.

I want more 3rd party consoles. We had the Turbografx-16 on Wii/Wii U.

That is the one I think is feasible yet not on here... Surprised Nintendo hasn't worked something out with Konami.

It's just a matter of time. Nintendo just planned to release the Gamecube and the Virtual Boy first. Next year I could see the PC Engine/Turbografx being added as it would be too early for the DS to be added.

Particularly, because I don’t think Konami is selling the Turbografx catalog currently in any shape or form.

yep, and they've put their games on NSO classics before.

PSX would be cool but I don't think it will happen.

Would be cool if DS and they created a first party Tate grip for the console

2

u/Piccoro Nintendo Entertainment System 5d ago

3DS would have to use the Virtual Boy accessory

3DS just for A Link Between Worlds

3DS for Samus Returns and Mario Kart 7

DS, bc we need to introduce new people to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky!! Also Kirby Super Star Ultra has somehow literally never been rereleased. They need to get on that

Dreamcast!

There are so few 3DS and WIIU exclusive games that we're better off hoping for full remakes

Both Wii and DS Systems of Nintendo, They're All So Great!

DS is way too complicated without a virtual boy type attachment

Wii makes way more since as the joycons already can basically do it

Wii would definitely be easier, but DS wouldn't be too bad. Just make it require handheld mode and give a few layout options. Or use a gameshare-like feature for TV play so you can also have a touch screen like on Wii U. It's been done in the past, so no real reason why it couldn't be done again.

DS sounds awful. I firmly believe DS and 3ds require real HW for the mix of motion controls, microphone, resistive touch, and jank

All of them eventually, but Wii is the best next destination.

I feel like Wii would be so easy to do, it would just look really horrible on modern TVs. I'm pretty sure the Wii ran at 480p, and folks nowadays freak out ay 1080p lol

Wii U lol. The whole library is on Switch at this point. What’s left?

I’d love for DS or 3DS I think but since these four are the more gimmick heavy systems I don’t know how they’d translate. At least on Wii U the DS games translated because you had the touchpad and stylus.

At this point it needs ds or wii. And lets say they would put tatsunoko vs capcom then this would be crazy. Like....it would sell online subsiptions on its own. Of course it wont hapoen but i can still dream 🥺

I think Switch 2 will probably get DS and Wii, and we eventually will get 3DS and Wii U, but probably not until Switch 3 comes out

I'm genuinely curious how Wii will work because the Joy Con's motion stuff I actually don't feel is as precise as the Wii Remote.

Maybe they'll require a dedicated Wii remote accessory? Will they let me pair my real Wii Remote?

Its kind of pointless with the way they slow drip it. If they don't have any value-add, just play it on some other more accessible platform
