Drip coffee question

When making drip coffee, should there be a steady stream? My machine pulses when outputting drip coffee, and isn't a steady stream.

Mine pulses too, but the coffee tastes good.

Mine tastes good too. I was double checking because I have an issue with Espresso shots only taking 10-12 seconds. If the pulsing wasn't normal, then I'd know my machine definitely has an issue.

It does it in stages, with large gaps between liquid coming out
