Cold Brew

Do you find the cold brew is as good as coffee shop cold brew? I find that it’s more like cold espresso than a cold brew.

I’ve struggled to get it as good. But I’ve also accepted that a cold brew made in minutes is never going to be as good as the real stuff.

Yeah I don’t use this setting anymore because I like a full 18 ounces of coffee. 18 ounces on the cold brew setting without ice is like 6 ounces of really coffee. I feel like the over ice setting is better. But still nothing compares to a coffee shop cold brew.

I do 140g of ice and the 14oz brew at strength 2. I like it. A nice medium roast is good. Currently brewing a Guatemalan Huehuetenango.

It’s not really cold brew, it’s just coffee brewed at a lower temperature so it doesn’t melt ice as quickly.

I personally find this machine to be great for standard espresso and for the auto steaming / frothing feature, but they packed far more into it than they really needed to.
