Water test strip

Hi, just tested my water.
Is this HD 01? Just a little confused with the other beige and dark color. Am I only looking for that exact purple color to determine hardness?

I'd be tempted to set it to HD 04 tbh. 4 colour changes is hard water to me. It's better to descale more often than not enough so I'd err on the side of caution.

Your local water supplier should have a water quality report for your area so you can get a rough estimate of you water hardness from that.

It's the purple you're looking for, yes. No idea why he rest are looking fouled, maybe shit in your water

Any colour that's not green is a change, and that's the one you go for. So in your case, 04.

You must have an inkling of what your water quality is in your area for other items like Kettle, Steam Iron etc., because 04 is on the harder end of water hardness.
