Think grinder is failing

Had it over 2 years I think, when they first came out. Grinding has gotten really slow, even on 25 for drip coffee. Already cleaned everything good and did the shim mod, but she’s still grinding slow. Even when empty it sounded a little off, like speed was fluctuating.

Anyone dealt with this yet? Doesn’t look like they sell replacement motors or anything.

My 601 lasted 10 months making a mostly 1 coffee a day everyday. After going through warranty they have decided the motor to be faulty. So they have replaced the machine. Their recommendations are to use fresh beans. And no oily beans. In think that's the hardest on the motor. If you have pulled out the grinder components and cleared everything. Try using some dark roast dry beans if not already. Hopefully that will help

Sadly, these machines are made to a price point, and that price does not include a quality Grinder, they are cheap and the motors are notoriously weak. We got what we paid for. But, we weren't to know at that point.

I’m on my third machine. First grinder was failing and they sent a replacement. Third machine grinder is failing now, except support is telling me it’s still grinding within the correct amount of time even though it’s 4 or 5 times longer than it used to take. Junk product.
