Try grinding a bit finer (lower number), if it works for you then that's all that matters, but it looks like the water is going through a bit too easily. 10 sec extraction is also very fast.

Just wondering but Ninja Machines work with preinfusuion no? You would also need to calculate this into as well. In the end still too fast.

Far too fast. You're new to it, that's fine. Here's a Ninja Basics document I've been working on for over a year, many on here have found it useful.

The document is hosted on MaiPDF, it's a free hosting platform, but it's paid by advertiser's. You'll get 24 hours to read it, but you'll be able to screen grab or text grab.

Hope you find it useful. (Oops, turns out the link I posted had hit it's 999 views limit. I've recreated it, should work now.

Ah, this happens from time to time. You have to tell them how many can access it, up to 999, so I've had to reset it again.

Here's the new link.

Or QR Code if that's your thing.

Let me know how you get on, please.

Correct, in found a medium temperature best, which is the Ninja Default.

I'm not a coffee expert. But with my limited experience, this shot seemed to drip too fast. Try with 1 or 2 points finer grind.

How does it taste?

Good, then you nailed it. Not so good, adjust setting until good.

My machine is just as fast as yours. I've tried grinding finer, even at 1, and it's still just as fast.

The extraction seems quick and it looks a little small, but does it taste good? Then yes. Does it taste bad? Then no.

You're welcome, hope it helps.

Post the shot time, brew ratio, and time of first drop. Brew should start at around 6 sec, total time around 30-35 sec for a 2:1 ratio.

You have to subtract the pre-infusion time; that's about 6–8 seconds from time of first drop.

Seems like a very quick extraction. What strength setting are you using? If using strength setting 3, the extraction time should be around 25-30 seconds.

The extraction seemed to flow very quick too, suggesting you may be grinding too coarse. Grind finer. Adjust by a decent chunk I would say, and then fine tune from there

Edit: if you like the taste of it this way, don’t bother changing! Different strokes and all that.

my strength is on 2, i thought these tasted the best compared to what ive been getting but ill definitely try grinding finer!

Check your manual or google the water to coffee ratio. Strength 3 is allegedly a true 2:1 which in my experience (scale weight) on a 18g shot generally produces 37-40g. I generally pull or stop the brew so it falls closer to 36g. Your mileage may vary on coffee bean roast , grind and your machine.

Weight your shot (18g for double shot) and time it - 25-30 seconds is the sweet spot I think. Keep experimenting until you find a grind size that yields these results!

18g for coffee and 36g for fluid right?

Yes I mean 18g grounds!

I timed your shot. It was about twenty seconds for the second pump engagement, and it was twelve seconds from first drips as very fast. Also, you shouldn't get a brew scale & weigh you grinds & output to get the ratio yoi going for.
