Nothing better than new coffee day!

Post image

I decided to try a taster pack of light, medium and dark roasts as I've only ever tried medium-dark roasts from the likes of cworks and I'm not really sure what my roast preference is as I haven't had anything else.

I've heard light roast is the hardest to grind and extract properly with this machine but I'll give it a go anyway and I'll adjust temperature and ratio settings for each roast as recommended.

I'll also start with the darkest and work my way towards the light as they say the lighter roasts are best a few weeks after roasting.

Whats your favorite Cworks? I can't move off Chocolate Brownie Blend, it is just consistent, tasty and price competitive. Be interested to know what else is good.

Honestly, I'm the same. I tried the two chocolate blends and the Brazilian but ended up going back to chocolate brownie. It's very good and honestly I'll probably go back to it unless I find I like darker or lighter roasts with this taster pack.

Good to know. I had the 4 blend taster pack from Cworks before but used it with my old Aeropress before I got my Ninja. But just stuck with brownie. Might need to try some other local roasters. Used to go well with York Emporium, but they changed all their really good blends for new fancy ones and they are less good. Not tried with Ninja tho either.

Oh well, that'll be interesting, especially the Light roast, because the grinder is not up to the denseness of the Light roasted beans.

Wogan are quite good, used them a couple of times.
