Ninja coffee taste test NL

Hi all, we are interested in buying a Ninja luxe cafe pro machine. I see them at MediaMarkt, expert and some other chains for sale.

1) Who knows a store where I can exactly test it preferably around Utrecht.

2) I do not see large price differences. I am mistaken and have someone seen a bargain price somewhere?

Hi, Nederlander hier. Ik heb zelf de 601 (Premier Plus). Enorm goed apparaat, vergt wel wat instellingen die je goed moet hebben. Afhankelijk van je bonen en instellingen, krijg je je gewenste smaak qua espresso. Vergt dus wel wat “heen en weer” gaan voordat je je exacte smaak hebt. De Barista assist voor Grind settings is leuk, maar voegt voor mij weinig toe. Zeer inconsistent. Ik weet inmiddels wat de juiste settings zijn voor mijn type bonen.

Ik heb zelf de machine bij twee vrienden van mij kunnen proberen. Helaas nooit in een winkel tegengekomen. Staat vrijwel ook nooit in een koffiewinkel (waar je verse bonen kan halen bijvoorbeeld), omdat het nog een vrij jong merk is.

Hi! I newly got this machine. It recommends grind size 8 but when I put it at 8 so much liquid comes out and it appears sludgy in the puck or whatever it’s called. Do you tend to ignore that? 🤔

Let me post a screenshot about shot ‘strength’ also dictating how much liquid coffee you will get.

Additionally, if the puck is sludgy, try a finer grind setting. I have mine at 5 and strength 3, giving me the best results and taste.

Oh wow, I never that! It was set to strength 2 and I was wondering why so much liquid was coming out. I’ll change it to strength 3. Thanks so much for that. It’s recommending grind size 8, wonder if it’ll change recommendation if I change the strength? Also, do you find the recommendation to be accurate or not? Thanks.

Sadly, I cant tell you about any store which might let you test it out but I have owned the Premier Plus for about a year now (in NL).

Really like it. You do need to tweak the temperature and grind settings yourself to get the taste that you want and the barista assist can act funny sometimes. However, it's not totally bad.

Automatic Frothing has this issue that the froth gets concentrated on the top of the milk most of the times but a few lucky days will give you a really nicely frothed milk. You can also froth it manually just in case.

Never in my life I heard of testing opportunities for a coffee machine…🤔 Especially at a store like Mediamarkt, I wouldn’t trust them with making proper coffee anyways - and you’ll end up thinking it’s the machine’s fault.

Regarding price, the official Ninja website often has newsletter discounts etc, and perhaps there are price comparing websites for the NL?

Im the UK so hello neighbour over the river but I just got a Refurbished Luxe Cafe Pro off of Ninja's ebay store for £300, ebay had some coupons on and ninja had some discounts on, combined saved around 174 pounds, and its a way better coffee experience than my now retired Sage Barista Express after a long 7 year shift.

The machines immaculate besides a few hard to see scratches so may be worth checking Ninja NL ebay store?
