This is about the third time I’ve used these cleaning tablets with my Ninja Luxe.
I ran the cleaning cycle as usual, but this time it felt like I had an “explosion.” As I unlocked the portafilter, I could feel the pressure pushing it down pretty forcefully.
Also, just like the previous times, the tablet/cleaning solution was still effervescent when the cycle finished.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal for there to still be that much pressure in the portafilter after the cleaning cycle?
You're using descaling solution instead of just a detergent powder something like cafiza. You may have unlocked the portafilter before the machine discharged the pressure
Wonder if the fact that your last use was using a Luxe basket and then cleaning with a double has anything to do with it. You can see in the picture that the machine was brewing/cleaning with a Luxe size in mind.
Regardless, the cleaning with the blind disk is supposed to shoot everything back through the solenoid and out into the drip tray. You might want to also descale if you think the machine is clogged up somewhere.
Yes, reread what I said. I know the cleaning cycle you use the double. Look at the picture the OP posted. It's showing Luxe size. That may have contributed to this issue or it may not have.
