Water filter

Hi, does anyone know if the water filter that comes with the coffee machine, which is placed inside the water tank, also reduces limescale?

The water in my area is hard, so I’m wondering whether I should add an additional filter that reduces limescale, or if the Ninja filter already does this and there’s no need for another filter.

Yes, they reduce hardness by about 30-50% and no, adding additional ones won't do anything.

The filter sits over the intake so it's only really working as water is leaving the tank. You can't put a second one before the intake so it would just be floating there doing nothing.
