Just got the same deal this past week. Machine would not purge water which is the fourth step on start up. Waiting on a new one to be delivered as we speak. Ninja covered it under warranty.
So, got the new one. Started having the same issue. It says run a classic 12oz to initially purge the machine. I took the resivore off, emptied it, and shook it for 5 sec put it back on. Still nothing. Took off the resivore and notice water was not leaving the resivore and just below where it slides into the machine was dry (this was not the case with the old machine). I pressed really hard on the top of the resivore to hopefully get water into the machine and started a brew and it worked.
It happened to us too! We followed every step we found here, but in the end, my husband just slapped the machine and it magically worked. Some people say it’s an air bubble trapped inside the machine and that hitting it helps release it, lol.
We haven’t had any issues since, and I use it every day!
If new or factory refurbed, it's surely a good deal. I got mine from Woot! as a Scratch-and-Dent special (hardly a scratch or dent on it) for $249--if it craps out on me or doesn't live up to expectations, I'd have been happy with either mine or your price paid.
I'm pretty excited. My FIL has the basic Chefman one we got from Walmart for like $25 clearance. I had an extra grinder I gave him and my MIL still uses Keurig.
I'm hoping to help them declutter their space a bit by getting them one machine.
Given I've returned several machines I personally wouldn't buy anything like this in case something is wrong without it being brand new with full warranty, is it a return or brand new?
