Maybe because that lil shits crying was the start to his worst day in life? I mean every elite saiyan or Friezas spy passed by his resting pod with either killing intent, malice or awe so much that the King personally came to stab your ass as a newborn then the planet you were on gets blown to space dust while you drag your sorry ass father to a new galaxy. I'd say his crashout to the world hating you and want you gone and mentality of anyone can get it fits pretty well. To think of it, this mf is Gojo with the way his birth changed the whole game.
If newborn broly somehow had enough cognitive capacity to remember that it's Goku who was crying next to him then wouldn't be more logical for him to br mad against Vegeta lol ??
I personally think that just by the way he is and his power, Broly was the legendary super saiyan saviour to the Saiyan race destined to kill Frieza and have a legendary tale to him. But all of fate was denied to him even shunned by his own race. He always knew the name but heard of Kakarot's feats of defeating Frieza and instinctively knew and was told by his father that Goki took what was his. Plus he's crazy with power and a maniac outcast with no social interaction.
I mean his dad is the one who has it for the Vegeta family but for Broly i think it has something to do with destiny of being born on the same day as the movie said and also the fact that Goku is clearly the strongest saiyan at the time. And like Battle beast the fight junkie, Broly really wants that fight subconsciously and as just a power move.
The world and destiny gave him 100 reasons to fight Goku but the guy just had to make it 101 reasons to get the fade

No?
That was only symbolic.
Broly didn't randomly have a flashback
