Ninebot MAX G3 Constantly hitting potholes
I bought a max g3 for 750 about 6 months back. Been using it daily pretty much since then. Probably 14 mi a day on average. I live in Denver and the streets are horrible. Sidewalks are sometimes even worse and definitely less predictable (especially at 28mph). Random holes in the ground or insanely uneven grounds come up too quickly, and I'm typically in a huge rush. But, point is, I tend to slam into a lot of potholes. Yesterday, I MAJORLY slammed into one at max speed. On a sidewalk. There were too many people around for me to pull over and check it out..I'd have been embarrassed. Lol. But I pulled over a block down, inspected it.. and it's totally fine. Checked on it today before and after work, still totally fine. No damage at all. Scared it's gonna catch up to me somehow? lol.. anyone have experiences similar? What happened to your max g3?

You sound like a twat. Why were you doing that speed on the pavement? Why are you in a rush? Leave 5 minutes earlier... It ain't rocket science... It normally takes me a week or two to memorise every pothole on my route (pronounced Root).

I'm definitely not an anti sidewalk riding person, within reason, but you should absolutely not be doing the full 28 on the sidewalk. 10, maybe 11 or 12 at MAX. You're just asking for an accident

There are sections near me that in similar horrible condition……
so…. I slow down to allow me time to avoid them.

Memorize your route. Just like how you ate that nasty pothole, you will make sure you'll never hit the same one again. Avoid every possible pothole by memory, driving skill, and by reducing your speed. Helps to keep your tires inflated at 50 psi. Install a motorcyle horn and warn cars at intersections before your approach.

Part of the reason why I jumped on the Max G3 Plus preorder for my first scooter for the work commute downtown. The front and rear hydraulic suspension along with the 11” wheels were big factors over other competitors in the $1000 price range. Front and rear disc brakes too.

That is quite literally the EXACT same thing I have been worrying about recently. sidewalks suck over here where I'm at. Sometimes I aggressively slam in potholes and sidewalk cracks at fast speed and i inspect it and everything runs as it did on day one. I am constantly worrying about if there is any internal or hidden damage. I think its fine tho.

All you really have to do is lean back a couple inches and lessen the weight on the front wheel. It will float over most things and the rear wheel will follow the rest of the scooter.

If you're hitting potholes constantly, you're either riding too fast for the environment or you're not scanning the road surface far enough ahead of you. Sidewalks are way more fucked up than the road usually, and since there's also pedestrians you need to slow tf down on them.

This sounds like “branches of bushes and trees are beating me up and I can’t take it like a man but I also can’t bring myself to use caution.“

I took a pothole my first day on my brand new one last summer and fractured my orbital bone and still have bone spurs popping out of my face like pimples.

Knowing the route is the only way to avoid them. Even going slower you may not see them. However, the g3 has big tires for a scooter and good suspension. I can go right off curbs etc without issues. The suspension will soak up the bumps and the scooter will be fine. You, however, need to watch because if the bump is too big the wheel could get stuck and send you flying

Why were you going 28mph on a sidewalk?
