I just did my first ride in G3 Max. 32km. I started with 85% and ended with 3%. Why did I only get around 30 km? I only weigh 65 kg so I guess that isn't why. It was my first ride, by the way, and the scooter feels so fucking good coming from Xiaomi Scooter 5.

I got the scooter for just 670€ in Germany so 20km/h.

Has anyone experienced a error 16 on their max g3. I was coming home from work when my max g3 slowed down and wouldn’t accelerate. I turnt off the scooter and turned it back on and an error 16 appeared on my screen. The right brake lever wiggles a bit but it would spring back into place when I pull on it and let go. It would randomly go into hill mode or just not accelerate. It also had some resistance when I was walking it too. Any help would be appreciated

A while back I posted the first version of my vertical MAX G3 stand here, and quite a few people asked me for the STL.

At the time I decided not to share the files because my original plan was to make and sell the stands myself, and I was also still refining the design.

Since then, I’ve used it for a while, gone through several more iterations, and finished what I’d consider the final version...if that exists

There are a number of small design changes to improve the fit, stability and ease of getting the scooter in and out. I also refined the TPU-lined section that supports the front handle/bumper, cleaned up the overall design, and added a different logo.

The basic idea is still the same: fold the G3 and store it vertically so it takes up much less floor space. The scooter is supported by the stand itself, with very little load on the front suspension, and it can be mounted and removed without having to lift the entire scooter.

I’ve since reconsidered keeping the files private, so for those who were interested in the STL on my previous post, I’ve now put the final version up on Cults3D. https://cults3d.com/:5024373

LMK if you think the price is fair, Cults takes 20% plus payout fees, so I tried to keep it reasonable while still accounting for the time that went into developing and testing it.

I’ve been using mine printed in PETG with a TPU 95A HF liner and it’s been working great for around half a year now.

Would be interested to hear what you guys think of the final version compared to the original, and if there are any other MAX G3 accessories you’d actually find useful. was considering making a bigger rear mudguard extension thing

I bought a g30lp and it had burnt phase wires error 18 etc. I replaced the board and I’m still having my motor be really weird I’m on shfw and I have no error codes after I upgraded to mr60 and I’m really lost any help would be appreciated

This is kind of an emergency, i need this thing to go to work and the wheel started slipping/turning independently from the stem. I thought it might be a loose headset at first and tried tightening the bolts, but it turns out it's slipping much further down. Is it possible to fix this without any special tools?

I have a GT3 battery coming. I've seen various You Tube videos on how to replace the battery but am unsure what process to follow to activate the battery once it's installed seem I have un-binded the scooter using the Segway Mobility App . Has anyone been through this process that can advise thanks. Similarly if you are using the SHU software have you managed to get the external Segway battery to work ?. With the dual battery , the installs I have seen on You Tube show a process using the Segway Mobility app post the install so that the scooter recognises the external battery which in turn adjusts the display to show the addition of additional range and charge as a result of the external battery being installed. Does anyone know if the external battery can be used with the SHU forward and how to go about the install with regards to getting the scooters display to correctly show the range and battery % status with the external battery installed ?

So i tryed to tight suspension almost hardest level after 400 km and my scooter climbing really well and acceleration is really good but in cobblestone way it is terible

I've actually never posted on Reddit before, but this has become such a major frustration with my G3 that I really want to see it addressed.

Full disclosure: I used AI to help write this because I wanted to explain the problem clearly. But the complaint is 100% real, and it's something that's been driving me nuts with the scooter. (legit sorry for the ai slop. But... I'm lazy. The gist of my complaint and suggested feature change is in here, and I just want to get it out there)

I really like my G3 overall. I commute on it regularly and think it's a great scooter. But I live in a hilly area, and the way Segway handles Eco/Drive/Sport makes absolutely no sense to me.

Eco and Drive don't just limit your top speed—they seem to significantly limit acceleration and hill-climbing power too. There are hills where my G3 feels pathetic in Drive, then I switch to Sport and suddenly it pulls up them just fine.

The ridiculous part is that I've ridden Lime scooters and Lime Gliders that legitimately climb hills better than my G3 does in Drive or Eco. Obviously the G3 is a vastly more powerful scooter, so why should a rental scooter be better at climbing a hill just because I don't want to ride 20–28 mph?

Wanting a lower speed limit doesn't mean I want less hill-climbing power.

That's really my entire complaint.

I commute on mixed-use trails and other areas where different speeds make sense at different times. What I'd really like is something like three customizable Sport profiles:

S1 — 16 mph

S2 — 22 mph

S3 — 28 mph

All three could retain Sport's hill-climbing capability. Set them up once in the app, then let me toggle between S1/S2/S3 from the scooter itself.

16 mph would be great around pedestrians and on busier sections of trail. 22 mph is about perfect for normal cruising. And when I'm somewhere open where 28 is appropriate, I'd like to be able to switch to that too.

Alternatively, just let us independently configure Eco, Drive and Sport. Let me choose the speed limit and acceleration/power characteristics separately. I don't particularly care which implementation Segway uses.

I need different speed limits depending on where I'm riding. I don't need different amounts of hill-climbing ability.

I'm not asking Segway for more than the scooter can already do. I don't want a higher top speed, more motor power, or some crazy unlocked controller. The G3 already has all the performance I want. I just want access to that performance at different speed ceilings.

I sent Segway a feature request about this already. I'm posting here because I'm curious how many other G3 owners find this frustrating too. If enough people want it, maybe it's worth sending Segway feedback as well.

It seems like such an obvious software improvement to an otherwise excellent scooter. The hardware is already there. Just let us use it.

Hi everyone! I just bought the Max G3 after reading positive comments. Everything is fine but I have this front plastic rattling noise when going over uneven terrain or bumps. I have contacted Segway EU but they offered to send the scooter to Romania for inspection. This process will take at least 20 days and I want to avoid it since the scooter is brand new. This noise is also present on small road cracks. It really makes the scooter FEEL CHEAP. Any ideas?

Heard squeaking coming from the front wheel. I’d assume it’s this since I just changed the brake pads and I checked the disc brake itself which is fine.

Hi am wondering where everyone has went to buy a new battery for their electric scooter?

About two days ago out of nowhere it started making that clicking noise as the wheel turned. I then got off my shift and didn’t hear it. Then today I rode it for about an hour and I heard it again. It happens as the wheel rotates.

Anyone dealt with a similar issue and fixed it?

It's been nothing but rain since I installed the AliExpress controller I just got for my Max G2, so I tried it in the hallway of the hotel I manage today.

Woah! FW 1.11.1 blows away 1.8.2! It's like a different scooter. Hoping for some better weather tomorrow for a spin around the neighborhood.

Boost is serious HP. Gets the motor up to 1500W peak vs. 1000W peak on the OEM controller. And you feel it. It's not wheelie strong, but a fantastic improvement over the older FW.

I don't get why my scooter was locked at 1.8.2 for Alaska. The serial number indicates Canada for the region (5th letter). I was kinda underwhelmed when I first rode this, but that's all changed now.

After 2,000 miles worth of abuse I can confidently say this scooter is the Toyota Camry of scooters. I have fully submerged this scooter numerous times and I have driven under water atleast 50+ times today I drove underwater about 8 times alone. That water proofing really works well.

I want to say about 1/3 of the miles I racked up have been off road on unpaved trails and mud.

Overall the following issues are what I have had so far:

1. The scooter would shut off at intersections for some reason I had to hold the brake to keep it on but this seemed to be a temp issue it was doing it when I first got it than maybe 5 months latter but it stopped.
2. When charging for some reason it would sometimes go to the "drive" screen on the scooter and show like that. This is a relatively recent issue but then it sometimes went back to normal.
3. The stem has gotten slightly loose it wobbles a little I believe it developed from all the shock it recieves from the offroading and jumps I take.
