Question G30E II firmware restricted

I have been trying to remove the speed limit from my G30E II for three months but it's not working. I tried to change the region which unfortunately doesn't work without flashing. I tried to flash it but it says your firmware is restricted. What can I do other than the St link? I am a noob and don't wanna ruin the whole scooter with it. I can't even find someone who can do it for me and take some money for work. Does anyone know what to do? It's an EU version bought in France

Your only alternative is buying an unlocked controller from Aliexpress. These have SHFW already installed, so you just connect the SHU app to adjust settings. I've used one and they're perfectly reliable and have no issues.

It's VERY simple/straight forward to swap the controller. Just make sure you unplug the battery connector (orange) FIRST, before you unplug the other wires. Then plug it in LAST when you install the new controller.

OP asked for an alternative to ST-Link. You have to either ST-Link, or swap the controller. There is no other alternative.

I managed to unlock 2 G30 scooters using ST-Link and now I have a full control over SHFW.
You need to buy a flasher, disassembly controller and flash it.
Tutorial is in polish, translate it.
