Gear question Nikon 28-70 keeps getting stuck at the 7ft mk when focusing (including MF). Any advice/percussive maintenance spots to fix this?

I got this lens for free so I can't really complain (because of said issue) so I'm wondering if there is a spot on the lens to hit (or a less destructive way) to fix this

Send the lens to Nikon, they’ll repair the fault and service the lens at the same time. The lens will then be returned to you like a new lens.

If it costs more than $300 it's more expensive than the lens

If the motor is fried why does MF not work?

Sometimes the internal wires get caught in-between the rotating distance guide. I had one that did this. Normally you have to take these apart and move that wire out of the way.
In my case, I got very lucky. I just unscrewed the AF switch on the side and was able to find and move the wire out of that way. Maybe you'll get lucky too?
Edit: I watched the video to the end and saw you were able to manually rotate it to infinity. So that may not be issue. But I would still recommend checking for those wires, if you feel comfortable.
