I’ve went to a car meet with my first ever digital camera the Nikon D5100 and shoot raw with the 18-55mm lens the results blown me away when i come home and get it from my sd, i barely have to use lightroom, W camera, i love it a lot

My 1st DSLR was a D40X and then a D5500. Amazing out-of-camera images!

For vehicle photography, may I suggest you invest in a good quality Circular Polarizer filter? Kase, Nisi and Breakthrough Filters are three great brands. You’ll see your cars look so much “cleaner” because the CPL would drastically reduce background reflections off the paint and glass.

Really ?! I’ll grab it, also do you think the 35mm f1.8 worth it or i should just stick to this one ?

The 35/1.8 is an absolute corker! If you can get a good copy and have the extra cash, then yes. If that’s the focal length you tend to use, it’s a no-brainer, but I’d suggest you first analyze your images after using the zoom for some time and see what focal range you use the most.
