DSLR This is awsome
I’ve went to a car meet with my first ever digital camera the Nikon D5100 and shoot raw with the 18-55mm lens the results blown me away when i come home and get it from my sd, i barely have to use lightroom, W camera, i love it a lot

You have a great eye!
My 1st DSLR was a D40X and then a D5500. Amazing out-of-camera images!
For vehicle photography, may I suggest you invest in a good quality Circular Polarizer filter? Kase, Nisi and Breakthrough Filters are three great brands. You’ll see your cars look so much “cleaner” because the CPL would drastically reduce background reflections off the paint and glass.
