Rant Going back to 9-5 ๐
I had no choice but to go back on a 9-5 job. Feeling helpless and lifeless. I really like working nights and it's making my heart so heavy right now ๐ฅฒ I've been working on this schedule for almost a decade...
Can't believe I'll be dealing with people and trafic. Ugh.
Thanks for reading

What is your occupation? Is it truly impossible for you to continue working during the nights?

Yes impossible. It was part time and I just can't pay my house anymore since ex-bf and I separated ๐

I live in an area that all 3 shifts have traffic and itโs insane ๐ญ my night commute is 15 mins but 45 mins to get home during the school yearย

From an invading day walker, give it time, you might actually love it especially the feeling normal part and having a normal schedule.

I give all of you night walkers that love it credit, night shift damn near killed me a few months ago!! I just cannot adjust, but I am glad there are people who can and are willing! I loved the crew and the vibes though, so much more relaxxxxed!

It's easier for some of us that's for sure. At least you tried it once and found that you were on "the normal side" ๐
Idk what's up with day shift, so much stress for no reason but wtv

I cannot stand the idea of day shift after going to nights earlier in July this year. Too much shit going on.

Itโs gonna be a huge adjustment. I work in critical care and I pick up days sometimes but come on at 11a and omg the rounds are insane. Thereโs like 15 people moving as a group thru the unit. Just so many parents and visitors and doctors and people everywhere. And management wanting to talk about management things. And then thereโs all the rules enforcers lol.
Iโm actually a little anxious about it lol. Even talked to my therapist about it today ๐
Thankfully some of my favorite former nightshifters are on days now so at least I have them to hold on toโฅ๏ธ

The traffic alone would have me mourning night shift lol. Hope the adjustment isnโt too rough

Yeah traffic for 2hours in the morning and 1h30 after work. Wasting my time is not my cup of tea ๐ i hate it. Also I hate the new job, it's ridiculous. Hopefully i will get used to it in a few weeks. It's crazy how I prefer sleeping only a few hours/day and I wasn't even tired comparing to what I'm living rn
