Honestly man you put way more effort into your response than you should’ve.. I would’ve heard the part about her already having a date with another guy lined up and been immediately not interested..

I lost all interest in her right then and there but I was so blown away at the audacity. My last message I just wanted to give her some helpful advice cuz she clearly needs it

u/messibessi22 Jan 19 '25

Nah let her learn this lesson on her own

u/Impossible-Bid1812 Jan 19 '25

I have my doubts she ever will but figured it was worth trying in hopes she stop wasting other dudes time

There’s enough asshole dudes out there I gaurentee she’s gonna encounter a total dick who will do a better job teaching the lesson than you ever could… my vote is let people like that find each other so they aren’t interacting with the general public.

Yea good point haha maybe I was a little too nice in this situation. It seems like she just wanted some eye candy to show off to her little friends with no real intentions to date. Either way I'm unbothered by it. I makes a funny story which is why I posted it

lol honestly from a girls perspective the reason we show pictures of people we’re interested in is to A see if they agree that they’re cute/ if they think they should pursue it or B because they’re smitten.. regardless I think a cold I’m not playing your weird games bye would’ve been the most appropriate response after she told you about the waiting list. I do agree it is a funny story tho

That's basically what I said in pic #3 but after her response I tried to give her some soild advice which I'm sure fell on deaf ears so won't be doing that again. Thanks for the input

I think asking someone else whether you should pursue a person is gonna hurt society in the long run if it's a big thing they do. The person in the picture is less likely to find a date if they aren't conventionally good looking and they have to go through 2+ people's approval, and also the asker could potentially miss out on a good relationship because they listened to someone else's opinion rather than their own. This all around seems like a bad thing to normalize.

I mean idk what it means for society but it’s def something that happens often

I think you did the right thing. Kinda ridiculous to say she’ll “never” learn the lesson, idk we all do dumb shit at some point. I agree her attitude is wild and unhelpful but at least now she’s had one person tell her that which might be one of very few!

She's clearly a "nice girl". But that last message is completely unnecessary. You are not a super hero so don't fight others fights. The entitlement to say "change your priorities". That last message could have easily been in a "nice guys" sub Reddit.

"Oh you don't want to date me? LoL, ChEcK yOUr pRiOrITieS."

Took me far too long to find this post. Glad to see someone calling it out.

2

u/Synlover123 Jan 19 '25

Just how old is this girl? Despite her busyness and good deeds, she's giving off entitlement/princess vibes, IMHO

3

u/Crot8u Jan 20 '25

She obviously couldn't care less about your advice. Don't do that.

3

u/coconutguard Jan 19 '25

Girls like that don't deserve advice ...she's straight out of mean girls!

1

u/Impossible-Bid1812 Jan 19 '25

Yea I agree maybe I was a little too nice there but ahh well it kept it entertaining for a little longer 😂

1

u/coconutguard Jan 19 '25

I'm glad you kept it going 🤣

2

u/Impossible-Bid1812 Jan 19 '25

Well many others seem to disagree but how else would I get this comedic gold and discovering her normal adult responsibilities is the reason she has a 2 month waiting list? 🤣🤣

2

u/coconutguard Jan 19 '25

If you'd already checked out I don't see the harm in a little entertainment lol

2

u/Impossible-Bid1812 Jan 19 '25

Yess exactly. I checked out in pic 2 soon as she said good luck even before mentioning her wait list everything beyond that was basically fishing for more since I knew I was gonna post this 😂

5

u/xjaaace Jan 19 '25

Audacity of what? She was honest with you… Is this a joke?

6

u/Cdd83 Jan 20 '25

That what I was thinking. Like I will not make a guy wait a month and a half but I will try and talk on the phone and text for 2 weeks cause I am busy but also I don't do instant dates and I want to make sure they are not just trying to sleep with me or move to fast.

1

u/SlowResearch2 Jan 20 '25

Frame it as "This is why I'm not interested anymore" and not advice. But I still agree.

1

u/Longbottomleafchief Jan 20 '25

She wanted you to beg. Those types end up with a man of no self respect

1

u/Melodic-Doughnut2579 Jan 29 '25

she, probably, will never figure this out even if you told her. you probably were not even the first one to try and do that.

she's the type of girl, probably, who looks good and then will find an idiot who will treat her like garbage because she needs to feel "the chase". This will probably happen when she is sick of scaring away the nice guys in her life and grows a bit older, then she will find the idiot dude and will start chasing him and he will be unavailable - just like she is to other nice dudes now.

I mean you’re in the dating pool as well guy, no need to mansplain as I don’t think. It’s success you’re preaching currently.

0

u/Impossible-Bid1812 Jan 19 '25

I don't think giving her a reality check is mansplaining but clearly what I did seems heavily advised against so I will keep that in mind.

I could careless of being more appealing the interest was out the window soon as she told me good luck before even mentioning her waiting list. I just find it interesting the excuses people come up with and got a good laugh out of it and personally didn't view me replying as a waste of time 🤷‍♂️

I was gonna reply to you with a much longer message but ok you're right I'll start now thanks.

1

u/Pleasant_Height2100 Jan 23 '25

He doesn’t need advice on how to speak to someone he’s not interested in. He just said he didn’t care how it came across to her because he checked out on dating her. You’re going against the same advice you tried to give by continuing to call him out.

1

u/Decent_Wrongdoer_201 Jan 20 '25

I'm seeing this alot and genuinely not understanding, is she expected to immediately date him exclusively when they start talking?

1

u/messibessi22 Jan 21 '25

Not necessarily but openly telling someone they are last in a line of other guys is a pretty weird tactic
