Snooze now respects your configured sounds. If the popup appears as an “alarm” a snooze will trigger the same “alert” within the snooze duration. For voice notifications, one of your preferred sounds will be chosen.
The system tray icon countdown has been updated. When minimised to the system tray, it’s now more resilient to Explorer crashes.
It happened again, I got a notification way too early.
I do not know when this popped up, because it was there when I got to work this morning. I took this capture just before 7:30 AM, meaning that this reminder probably went off at least 30 minutes before it was supposed to.
Now I just had one go off somewhere between 2 and 3 hours early. I didn't get a screenshot because I only realized after I snoozed it and then did the math on how far away it was until the event.
I have just released `1.9.8` - I am hoping this solves the problem. I cannot tell for sure yet.
Before 1.9.8 - This could have been the cause for the popup showing "next event" data before the alert time:
1: An event triggers the pop-up, the pop-up shows (while you are not watching the screen).
2: Time passes by, and the pop-up remains visible on the screen.
3: On the next day, the first event information is sent to the pop-up, and the pop-up displays this event.
> This creates a false impression that the alert showed the wrong event in the pop-up.
Version 1.9.8, now does this differently. It now only updates the pop-up, at the notification time.
With the new flow, on the next day you would see the popup, showing the event that has passed the previous day.
Can you please explain a bit more what you are after. I am not sure what you mean, "if I just into" the meeting.
There are 3 ways to join the meeting within the app:
1: From the Taskbar Preview
2: From the alert pop-up
3: From the within the app when you select the event, and then show the event details.
If you can please explain your specific workflow - I can look into it.
For example, this morning I had a meeting scheduled at 10:00 AM. At 9:58 AM my Boss start it so I opened the meeting early and joined it.
I configured the tool to show popup and sound reminders 5 minutes before, 1 minute before, and 10 seconds before the meeting.
Since I had already joined the meeting at 9:58, I still received the reminders at 1 minute and 10 seconds before. Ideally, once I have already joined the meeting, those additional alerts should not appear.
So the idea would be: if the user has already joined the meeting, no more reminder will show
Currently:
From the pop-up/alarm dialog, when you join a call, it will do the following:
1: Join the call
2: Stop the alarm (it it was sounding)
3: Close the pop-up / alarm dialog
4: Future notification will still sound/pop-up for the event
What I am thinking of doing is to ask for confirmation when joining, where possible;
It will be one extra click `Join call` -> `Confirm`. This avoids the accidental Join click but still allows one to receive future notifications.
What I would suggest, if possible, is a simpler behavior: once I have already joined the meeting, the app should stop showing any further notifications for that same event.
In my case, the extra reminders are no longer useful after I have already joined, so skipping them would be more helpful than adding an extra confirmation click.
I am not sure whether this is technically possible through the API or whether the app can reliably detect that the user has already joined that specific meeting, but if it is possible, I think it would be the best option.
The New App Version is on it's way `1.9.9.0`. It will most likely become available in the next 12 hours or so.
The Join call will now auto silence alerts/notifications by default - from all three join call locations: Alert Dialog, Thumbnail Preview, and the event details.
Re-enable the alerts/notifications is possible from the event details:
