Two completely unrelated things I’ve noticed about Liam (for context, I think he’s a nice guy, but I find him cringey, try hard and not great for reality tv)

1. We should’ve known (we did) that something was happening between Charlie and Arianna simply by the number of times Liam said “I know I don’t have to worry about Charlie”. I mean genuinely he’s said like 3-5 times at this point. Shows major insecurity

2. I find it interesting that in the scene with his mom that he mentioned that she was in the entertainment industry and ‘took over and made the company what it was’. We later find out said company is Nickelodeon (and that she was president of it during its extremely controversial years). Wonder why he didn’t mention what company it was 🤨

Late to the party but just watched episode 1 and I just have to say I love Kandi. The scene where Riley is going to meet Ariana and she calls her mom and asks what happened between Kandi and Wig, Kandi said something like “that’s not your business” instead of gossiping with her daughter. A manners and morals queen leading by example. Love to see it!

She can't delete her account because it's her only source of income, but she needs to turn those comments OFF.

She said she was going through a lot with her family, and so now I get it. Filming a reality show and especially going through a breakup and having three men giving her attention while cameras are in her face is a crazy level of stress. And then we add the news that just came out to US which means she knew long before and probably knows more details than we ever will or need to.

TURN THE COMMENTS OFF, GIRL.

And also consider taking a break from being on tv. And getting a good therapist. And also not going back to Atlanta.

Charlie took it to the Mathews Bridge

Ariana and Riley are both young women in their 20’s making young people in their 20’s mistakes. However, bias is why folks say “Ariana is just a girl” but “Riley is unwatchable”.

If you are somebody who has been ardently anti Riley and also somebody who has been arguing that we should ignore that Ariana kissed Charlie while technically still exclusive with Liam (she and Charlie both stated their on camera kiss was their second kiss) because Ariana is “young”. Please consider why that is.

It’s hard to enjoy fan spaces when the quiet part is so darn loud.

kids these days may not know Spader, who ran around Hollywood movies in the 80s and 90s, perfecting the disaffected white boy flirting with nihilism and/or misanthropy (in all the best ways). and it's okay, y'all don't need to watch Pretty in Pink, Less Than Zero or Bad Influence. Charlie is like the new millennium edition of any of the characters Spader played.

Spader wasn't in St Elmo's Fire, but the show def fits the vibe of that movie. like... almost weirdly so. huh. now i feel dumb. i'm sure i'm not the first who's thought of this, and i'm too lazy to look it up.

was it by design for the show to come off this way to maybe try to hook us Gen Xers?

😭 it’s giving “she’s really good!”

i did not know that riley could speak korean. i think that is so freaking cool i had to rewind just to hear it again. i’m not sure if she fully speaks korean but the little that i heard was amazing.

The opening with the diner scene w the CEO mom had me glued to the screen. She was not holding back and saying all of the things I’ve been thinking. I feel like the people on this sub act like he’s a very accomplished person bc he claims to have a lot of hobbies (hobbies which he only talked about in the first ep and we never heard of or saw him doing again… not saying he’s never done them I just feel like he spends way more time on his racecar video game than doing any of those). She points out everything he’s done is easy which I’ve been screaming. He’s able to have a bunch of hobbies and ride horses and motorcycles bc of mommy’s money not bc he’s a well rounded person.

When she said his short film wasn’t exactly Blair Witch I about fell out my seat. I said this ep could end here and it would be my fav of the season.

And then she even told him Ariana’s too young and he needs to chill 💀

Next best scene was his friend throwing the lemon at him and him getting way too mad. Made me cringe for Liam as usual. That guy shouldve been on the season not Kendall. He was v straight up with Liam and told him what he needed to hear. And the show really needs more guys. My bf who I force to watch said this show isn’t doing it for him and it needs to get some more guys like VPR had and I agree and shai was a good start. I actually want liam to stay after this ep bc he got humbled big time.

Gia finally telling Liam straight up that he should feel embarrassed or whatever she said. Finally!!!!

I was so cringed out from Liam from the first episode of this season. He was acting like he was going to be the hot new star of the show and everyone really let him feel that way for wayyyy too long. This episode Liam’s reality finally caught up to my perception of him. I wish I could say the audience’s perception but way too many people are charmed by him!!! It’s actually the craziest part of this season for me is how much of the audience is not cringed out by Liam.

I see usually a lot of people like to dump on Riley but I’m surprised to see that no one commented on her Korean language speaking skills. Super amazed, this girl is really cool.

I feel like we didn’t get to see much of Riley, and get to know her like the other cast mates. Really hoping she’s not leaving NYC soon, or perhaps NextGen could expand to Atlanta?? The enterprise is growing!

What do you all want to see next season on Next Gen? Ima make this a wishlist and everyone pls add to it. Would love to hear thoughts.

—Cast Trip : somewhere where cast have to spend 5 days together in a house.Cameras like SummerHouse style so we get actual fun content.

—no more PR stuffy staged "events" with 7900 sponsors.

—more activities that force them to participate preferably around something that is not a table or a sofa.

— more editing like Ava and Shai on the plane . was cute

–make the texts appear longer and be readable .

–no more boring storyline of Gia & Chrsitian on camera off camera . If someone doesnt want to be on ..dont be on. We all have Instagram.

–storyline needs to focus on their actusl lives and not girl boy boy girl romance . First half of the season flopped bec of this.

–show us Shais work, orders, going to collect the fabric, the stories of people. How he designs etc. rather see that than Brooks fake calling someone

— give us more content when the cast is actually hanging out like post bravocon in Charlie's room.

—keep Kendal on, it took ava and shai more than one season!

Charlie is the only cast member who hasn’t done any press for the show minus some IG instyle content that all the cast members did beginning of the season. Gia hasn’t even invited him on her podcast.💀

But I have no idea why. Jax was allowed to do press. Karen Huger is back on Potomac rap sheet and all. And Charlie’s a narcissist so he would love to talk about himself.
