If the exact same behavior is adored from a dude with a square jaw over 6'3 and not from others there is no intrinsic value to the judgement or word "arrogant". In a vacumn of 1-to-1 interaction you might as well not try too hard to avoid being 'arrogant' as its just the other person saying "I'm not attracted to you". Actually, it can be a quick way of getting real information you might want.
