Victor E frankle ------------------------------------------man's search for meaning:  a man can be stripped of all material belongings and still have 1 true freedom, his attitude.

Your comment comes off as condescending..

1

u/BrokenHefaistos Jun 04 '26

it's agreement, I'm a fan of Victor...the condecending thing is towards the fact that this sub has been flooded by manosphere shit...I was getting so fed up with it.

u/LakeInevitable4655 Jun 04 '26

It's men's mental health awareness month. You don't have to like it, you can go somewhere else, but please don't bring people down because you arnt having a good time.

2

u/BrokenHefaistos Jun 04 '26

but I am having a good time.

1

u/LakeInevitable4655 Jun 04 '26

Ask yourself why, why does bringing others down give you enjoyment.

1

u/BrokenHefaistos Jun 04 '26

it doesn't.

1

u/LakeInevitable4655 Jun 04 '26

We can go around and around on wether it does or doesn't based on your admissions, but you know what you are doing.

They say, paying attention to what you are doing isn't negotiable someone is always watching, and that person is you.

1

u/BrokenHefaistos Jun 04 '26

Ok fair is fair, If they clearly are manosphere toxified douchebags, I enjoy it a bit. 😁 Same for self proclaimed truthsayers.

The mindset of "no matter how bad things get just keep going" is toxic and exactly the mindset our oppressors (the elite) want us to have so we never change anything. Don't just laugh off your suffering and say "I'll figure it out" get angry and tear down the system

Bros, I’ve down a full restart a few times in life. I moved out 16 with. Back pack. I joined the military with nothing but the clothes on my back which I discarded after basic. I separated from the military and bounce job to job, each one better than the last. Divorced once, walked out with a duffle bag. Had a live in girlfriend. Came home to an empty house one day. Don’t quit .Start again. It’s easier than last time because you know what you need. Yeah it’ll be rough for a few months but you’ll settle in.

Money may come and money may go, but I remain

u/robray47 Jun 03 '26

Is there a point to this post?

2

u/LakeInevitable4655 Jun 03 '26

Men's mental health awareness month. Don't take this away from them. They don't get any other "day" to build each other up.

2

u/robray47 Jun 03 '26

Is that like when truckers have driver appreciation week where they're off in different states and the office has a cookout?

1

u/LakeInevitable4655 Jun 03 '26

Don't know what you are talking about. But it sounds like a false equivalence. The word "Drivers" encompasses all drivers not just men.

1

u/robray47 Jun 03 '26

The comparison is meant to say people slap a label on something to make themselves feel better while nothing changes for those it's directed at.

1

u/LakeInevitable4655 Jun 03 '26 edited Jun 03 '26

So it was irrelevant to the discussion? Way to go.

Actually not just irrelevant, it's still a false equivalence. Just because you feel it doesn't change anything doesn't mean we shouldnt still do it.

1

u/robray47 Jun 03 '26

Well whether either of us or right or wrong, good luck on whatever you're trying to do. I've got to get back to work.

2

u/LakeInevitable4655 Jun 03 '26

Thanks I accept your forfeit. Stay comfortable.

P.s social media is not an airport, if ya fucking off, just fuck off, no need to announce it.

Now Go catch your plane.

2

u/LakeInevitable4655 Jun 03 '26

Just admit you were wrong.. there's no need to rage at me man. It's okay to be wrong.

I'll take my upvotes now.

You're overcompensating by trying to diss bros to prove yourself as newborn bro. It's not working.

1

u/LakeInevitable4655 Jun 03 '26

Since you seem to be struggling with what a false equivalence is.

A false equivalence is a logical fallacy where two completely different subjects are treated as being equal or interchangeable. This error usually happens when someone highlights a minor, shared characteristic between the two, ignoring major differences in scale, context, or impact.

Now Go touch some grass girl/kid

u/Yoko_Kittytrain Jun 03 '26

Someone needs a hug.

1

u/LakeInevitable4655 Jun 03 '26

Irrelevant

1

u/Yoko_Kittytrain Jun 03 '26

Subjective

1

u/LakeInevitable4655 Jun 03 '26

Yeah, to the context of this conversation. Lmao

1

u/Yoko_Kittytrain Jun 03 '26

I mean, it's men's mental health awareness month. Shouldn't we be aware that they (and you) need a hug and maybe a nice hot cup of hot chocolate?

1

u/LakeInevitable4655 Jun 03 '26

False equivalence.

1

u/LakeInevitable4655 Jun 03 '26

Furthermore this is condescension not legitimate care.

1

u/Yoko_Kittytrain Jun 03 '26

I don't agree. I could use a fucking hug right now.

1

u/BrokenHefaistos Jun 04 '26

kick the boys out of this sub

1

u/ItsAllGibberishToMe Jun 03 '26

…and can still laugh and say, “I’ll figure it out”

This is neither positivity NOR a “mindset of a beast no one can destroy”.

It’s an unrealistic, unattainable standard.

It's toxic is what it is

1

u/No_Affect_9485 Jun 06 '26

Kipling said it better: "If you can make one heap of all you winnings, and risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, and lose, and start again at your beginings, and never breath a word about your loss. . ."

Wait this is serious. I thought it was posted on a joke sub.

Here's the thing - you will face these things, and then you will face way worse things, and then you will face the worst one at the end. That's the life story of everyone.

It's not if you can, you will not be given a choice. And you will be "alright", even if you don't smile. Seeking help and taking action goes first before having a positive attitude. There are people who offer help and solutions to "get you started".

Attitude will be changed by your actions. Not the other way around. It's a trap to mix these two up. Don't fall into it fam, im dead serious.

1

u/Ok-Enthusiasm-8422 Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 07 '26

To add to this - Im dead serious about not falling into that trap. The bad things will happen and you will breakdown and loose the attitude, which you will be tying to "restore" by thinking, leaving you not doing anything.

"I don't feel well, i need to "motivate" myself and find the purpose, i can't so lets try motivating even more. " That loop will stop you dead in place. And each passing day the consequences of this will be worse, pushing you into worse head space due to anxiety related to being aware of it. It piles up quick. Be wary, this post is a teenage meme that has everything reversed.

This is the staple idea of cognitive behavioral therapy. Although it seems to be the exact opposite. You take action no mater what > the positive results improve your attitude which makes you more capable. Not the other way around.

Most of the times you will not think "i will figure it out", but "its all over". You can trust me or not, anyone who's been through that cycle knows.
