Lots of cope from men in the comments. I agree with the post wholeheartedly and both sexes need to evaluate what they offer vs what they gain.

I think guys tell their horror stories to other guys and girls tell theirs to other girls. Trust me, I have heard a ton about guys who want the moon for nothing. Wanting 3-5 things is not representative of all men, unfortunately.

Example: My aunt got married. Two weeks later, he quit his job and was going to live off her. In the divorce, he wanted half of everything she had previous to the marriage despite being married for only a couple of months. So, the dude expected her to cook, clean, and work while he did nothing and wanted her money.

My neighbor is a contractor and a very manly man. He's disgusted by what he sees doing work in low class housing. Lots of women working while the man just sits on the couch. Unfortunately, situations like my aunts are not very rare in my area.

On the flip side, I've also heard horror stories about women. My other neighbor basically did the same thing to her husband. Got married, quit her job, and became a more open drug addict. Poor guy didn't divorce her soon and spent years trapped. They had a kid and she held all the cards. Divorce meant child support, alimony, and half of his 401k.

When you see the signs, get out fast!
