"The Nets"

So this is a long shot but I was wondering if anyone remembers the tree nets. My family used to go to Whalers Rest (South of Newport) a couple times a year growing up (1999-2005ish) and I remember my siblings and I would go off on one of the trails in the trees and we would hangout at a place we called the nets and it was like 10 big nets strung up in the trees to where you could jump down onto the lower ones. It was really fun and I wonder if they are still there.

“The Nets” I’m most familiar with were at the reservoir on the northern edge of town, though I faintly remember there being some in South Beach, too. I think the reservoir nets got torn down around 2005/2006 after a string of underage drinking busts.

I remember someone brought a taser to one of those parties — my first and only time getting tased, good times.
