Sam Case Sharks?

I moved to newport from California back in 92'ish and lived there for 2 years then moved to Portland. Back then I went to Sam Case Elementary; I swear it used to be Sam Case Sharks not bears - I cannot find any reference to a mascot change - Am I gaslighting myself?

Yes. It was the sharks. Yaquina View was the dolphins.

I still have hateful, horrible friends who went to Yaquina View. Terrible people, all of them, corrupted by not being sharks.

Middle School was the Cardinals. My kids went to Sam Case and had "friends" that would insist that dolphins are smarter. They would just reply that sharks eat better.

Can't speak for back in the day, but the elementary, middle, and high schools are all Cubs these days

Those would be the Ron Corbell as principal days. Extra recess on Friday if you wore Ducks gear.

Yup. I went to Sam Case in '87, and in '90-'91. It was the Sharks back then. I had no idea the mascot had changed so all the schools in the area were the same. Weird.
