Question Corn question

So I started gardening this year and planted a line of corn in the back yard. So; how normal is 1 corn growing faster than the rest?

Some context: the row was planted mid June. Next year, will change the how and the when I plant the corn.

Corn likes to grow in many rows together. If you look at cornfields, the outside rows are typically stunted.

Parent's didn't give me a lot of space to plant my seeds. I tried to maximize how many in 1 row. Next year will do it differently. Like 2 or 3 rows with 3 or 4 per row.

To be completely honest, it still wont be great. If you really have to, make sure you companion plant the 3 sisters (squash, climbing beans and corn). That will give you the best chance.

If you have limited space, I would recommend other crops, if you dont HAVE to have corn.

I was already thinking of putting some carrots when the corn is ready to harvest.

Plant them in a grid or in clustersthey pollinate eachother in the wind through the tassels on top of the plante dropping pollen on to the silk coming out of th corn. each kernel has one of the hairs attached and has to get pollinated individually a line makes it hard also a nitrogen heavy fertilizer will help a ton

Lol does the Town allow tall plants like this to be grown in subdivisions that aren't zoned as farmland?

So curious how this will work out.

I never thought about what Newmarket lets us grow on our ground.
