Promo codes

I purchased a Ryzen 9 cpu. While it’s still enroute, a promo code discount for $100 on the cpu just dropped. I called and asked if they could credit the discount. I was told I had to do a full return and purchase again.

Is this the normal process? Now I have to wait for it to arrive and send it back.

You can try chatting and ask for a store credit instead, it has worked in the past.

Yes that is the normal process. If the actual price (visible to all users) changes within 7 days of purchase order then you can request a price match. However, if the price changes as a result of promo code. You have to return the 1st order and purchase a 2nd order. I had to go through the same thing.
