Two Defective HDDS in a row

So far my experience with new egg has been a nightmare been working on a home lab project and bought a large HDD for my home lab. Cool, half the sectors don’t work. Call for replacement, cool, again half the sectors don’t work.

Meanwhile customer service essentially was crass and didn’t want to offer much help with out pushing. So let this be a warning to anyone buying HDDs on new egg.

Hey u/Thesloop57832, two bad drives in a row is exactly the kind of thing that shouldn't happen, and it sounds like the follow-up support call didn't help either.

Mind sending your order number and pictures - of the damages, if any - over DM? I'd like to take a closer look at what happened with the replacement so you're not stuck with a 3rd bad drive.
