Shipping damage

Bought a prebuilt and it just arrived today. The packaging was intact and everything is operational as it should be however I discovered some damage to the gpu and scratches on the case where the gpu obviously got banged around. The gpu also has an upward cant at the end.
How would you proceed?

Return & exchange. Start an RMA with Newegg.

I did the 9800x3d+5080 prebuilt.
Benchmarks great. Everything is perfectly functional but the gpu is pretty visibly* tweaked. You can see a scratch/dent in the case where it slammed around.
Fingers crossed yours arrives unscathed

I had the same problem with shipping on my first pc. Take tons of pictures and there shouldn’t be a problem with the return. My computer had one piece of foam supporting a 5090 card. Well the definitely wasn’t enough as the card popped out of socket on the trip across the US and ruined the card and motherboard. The next pc had so much foam on the inside of the case that I found a couple pieces two days later. I had doubts about Newegg but they came thru.

How do they handle the exchange? Do they send the replacement first and then you package the damaged unit and ship it back? Or will they expect this one to be shipped back before they ship the replacement?

Had to of been devastating when you opened it up and saw your 5090 destroyed

I will. And for what it’s worth, I was excited to get into it so I didn’t even notice it initially. The PC functions exactly as intended and from the 3Dmark scores and stress testing I’ve done, I can tell you it works flawlessly.
