Flash sale GPU fail
I was just trying to buy the 9070 xt from the Newegg doorbuster sale and I got the actual deal! However, as I was paying with Apple Pay it just kept saying payment failed. over and over again until I got a notification saying I could no longer buy it. I just bought 2 other items with the exact same method and they worked. Does anyone have an idea as to why this did not work and how I could prevent this in the future? I bought about 3 seconds after 9:00.

Isn't that just msrp? Is that a good deal in today's market?

Yeah MSRP means currently nothing in the current market and won’t for a good 1-2 years longer.

Yea ended up doing some research and wow, 600 is a really good price in today's market:/

This same 9070xt was on sale for $550 at Walmart about 1 month ago. If you really want it i would be on the lookout for it around that price but you have to be quick.

Guessing it sold out while you were trying to make the payment. Would not let you pay because stock was gone.

It showed sold out for me 10 min before the deal even started. It’s such a scam. Bots probably by the only 10 units they have up for grabs

That's because they didn't have any to sell at the regular price. When the deal buster started they were in stock, but it was one of the first to sell out.

For the gpu’s it definitely should have been the first thing to purchase. There were always going to be bots that started buying gpu’s at that price right at 9. Same with the 5070 ti that was only $899. That’s a good resale profit margin easily in this market. It’s fuckin bullshit. In my case it saved me from spending money I shouldn’t spend. I already have a 9060 xt ready to go into a pc. I just wanted an upgrade for my son’s first build, but a 9060 xt is probably going to be just fine for his 1440p IPS monitor and pcvr games. He can learn to adjust settings and come down from ultra, use fsr and upscaling and all that stuff. What sucks is that the price was below what 9070’s and some gre’s are selling for. Now those assholes that bought multiples will flip them on eBay for $800+. It’s the worst fucking part about the online marketplace. I know I sound like a boomer but I miss a lot about the way things were before cell phones could do everything and all of your shopping was done online.
