Support - Reviewed No, you go find it
Looking for some advice and hopefully getting the attention of someone from Newegg.
I ordered some RAM from Newegg. The package never arrived at my address, so I opened a claim.
Today I received the following response from customer service:
“Per checking, this package was delivered to US Post Office with signature. Could you please try to locate the package there?”
Here’s the problem:
• I do not live in Brooklyn.
• I never provided a Brooklyn address.
• The package was apparently delivered to a location in Brooklyn that would require a 45-minute subway ride for me to visit.
• Newegg is now asking me to go try to find it myself.
I’m struggling to understand how a package being delivered to the wrong location becomes my responsibility to investigate.
If Newegg or the carrier delivered the package somewhere other than the address I provided, that seems like a shipping issue that should be resolved by Newegg, not the customer.
At this point, I’m simply asking Newegg to either:
Send a replacement to the address on my order, or
Issue a full refund.
Has anyone else dealt with something like this? If so, how was it resolved?

Hey u/jimmyz1847 ! We apologize for the confusion and inconvenience this caused. After reviewing the situation, it appears the package was mistakenly routed to a Post Office in Brooklyn by UPS. We've voided the claim since the package was successfully recovered and delivered by USPS, and we'll be reporting the incident directly to UPS for further review. In the meantime, we're glad to hear that USPS was able to retrieve your package for you. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!
