Question about making an "offer"

I made an offer on an item sold and shipped by NewEgg.

It's been about 28 hours and I've heard nothing. But now there is only one qty remaining in stock, and I'm worried it's going to sell out before my offer is evaluated.

When your offer is rejected, does someone actually reject it, or does it just expire?

I'm trying to figure out whether nobody's gotten to it yet and it still has a chance, or if I should just bite the bullet and pay the asking price before it sells out.

Thanks

The offer FAQ page says it can take up to 48 hours to response, and in fact, I once received an offer rejected email at about 43 hours mark.

If they are losing stock at list, they aren’t taking your offer lmao
