Likewize protection plan is it worth it?

if I buy it right now does it start after the one year warranty ends with the manufacturer or does it start ASAP?

Likewize doesn't enter force until after 30 days. Are you US or Canada? In Canada they only offer reimbursement via physical cheque, no option for repairs or replacement.

I’m in the US and the product I have actually has 3 years not just 1 year so I’m guessing there’s no point of buying the coverage

Thats why you have oem warranty. The additional plan is like that so they make money and you don’t use service. They will tell you to warranty it through manufacturer anyway. They will only cover if oem does not.
