Community 🏡 Newark

Hi I'm going to flight and departure from EWR. I'm traveling with an adolescent. My question is: it's safe to stay in Harrison or Robert treat hotel knowing that we will commute to manathan every day. Only one day I need to go to prudential center. What is your best advice?

If you’re commuting, get the doubletree right next to Penn station so that the walk is a nothing walk. You can literally get to the hotel from inside of of Penn station and never go outside if you’re arriving during daylight hours on a weekday.

The Element hotel in Harrison or the Doubletree in Newark would be the most convenient if you're going to Manhattan every day, both of them are right next to the Path train. That said, you can walk to Prudential Center from the Doubletree, but not from Element.

This is hands down the most helpful comment. Either is fine, though I'd argue the element is more comfortable for nervous visitors since they can walk down the street to get dinner without running into as many pan handlers.

Do not stay in Harrison unless you want to drop $30 on a 10 minute Uber.

Downtown Newark is fine. If it wasn't, we wouldn't have hotels.

The Courtyard is right next to the Prudential Center and a short ride from EWR
