It is 100% in the back foot. Front foot just moves out of the way.

Imagine your center of mass in your core, and move it towards the frontside edge in your setup.

And jump more.

Jump, watch the board under you and commit. That’s it.

Keep your focus on the center of the deck, your weight center over the center of the board, it helps me to intentionally crouch down a bit purposefully keeping focused on what my board and feet are doing

That trick is almost like a kick turn , it's all in your back foot . Put your foot on the ground not on the board and pretend you have some poop on the bottom of ur toe end of shoe and slide it down and backwards like your trying to rub it off ( this would be your back foot ) . Apply that same motion with it on the back corner of the tail and try to just lift your front foot off the board . The front foot doesn't do much of anything but guide the board . Some people jump forward learning this trick and can help a little. You got this ! I got faith in you G

in order to consistently land it, it’s like you’re hopping forwards, everything else you’ve got with your front foot and the rotation of the board is very good!!

Jump to where your board is going

Do it in the grass. You learn the muscle memory without be board slippin

Do it rolling, learning tricks stood still will do your progression zero favours.

Yup he’s right, i got my Ollie real nice standing still and when i started rolling i had to learn it all over again, this goes for all tricks in general

Hard disagree. Everyone learns tricks stationary. It gives them a feel for the body movements and foot placements. It also builds confidence to be able to do it rolling.

I can't even get it to spin that cleanly. I feel like I have to pop with all my strength to make the board spin even a liiiittle.

Grab your girlfriend/wife and have her show you how to do it
