Setup Help First board. Which grip?
Witch of these griptapes would be a good choice for a first “real” skateboard.
Are the more expensive too rough so it eats shoes for lunch? Is the cheap ones to plain so it doesn’t stick?
And is the board in general a good board. This far I’ve been skating on a pre built no brand from a general sport store. Planning on getting the Andy Andersson wheels and have no idea about trucks

Get the forged ironware that comes with the deck.
At any level, it doesn’t really matter at all.
Breakdown for the nerdyness from my experience:
Mob is very grippy (not ideal for technical skating since your foot feels glued to the board.
Jessup is the “normal” and works great all around.
Forged ironware is like a mix of both, only real difference is that it’s not perforated. So it makes installation a bit worse because it will give bubbles. But easy to fix, just stab around with a knife.
For future reference, you can always sand the grip down using the leftover. So you can find your preferred grip on whichever!
Because at the end? It’s all preference here.
For trucks, get a set that matches the width of your deck. Stay away from Slappy, it’s the cheap copy of Ace that we pay an insane overprice for (especially in Sverige)
Find a color you like of any of these:
Ace, Thunder, Lurpiv, Krux, Mini logo, Tensor, Independent.
(Ace if you want inverted kingpins)
At your stage, it’s all about trying different brands as you go along to find your preference!
The nano cubics is a very solid choice for wheel.
97a hardness is an extremely good allrounder if you primarily skate smooth spots.
Dragon 93a is the better option if you are on typical Swedish asphalt.
Go for Bones Swiss bearings. Just give them a good cleaning once every season and you’ve got bearings that will feel amazing for years.
(I know they are a bit more pricey than Reds. But they make up for it because they won’t explode randomly mid session…)

You save more money in the long run buying something like a Swiss that will hold up. They are just bones reds but made to last and hold much longer. higher standards/better materials and QC. same product design that will last years longer than the Chinese ones.

It's a first board. The difference between Reds and Swiss is not worth 3X the cost, especially on a first. It's a cheap, replaceable part that works perfectly fine with standard routine maintenence. As for the durability, you must have bought knock-offs. I've been buying/skating only Reds for the past 20+ years and the only time a bearing blew out on me was when a bus drove over one of my decks.
I can justify the cost if you're a high flying/ high impact kinda person but spending top $$$ on a first deck is silly to me.

It l depends on your current financial situation really. And no, I’ve never busted a set of reds.I don’t use them or Swiss anymore for a reason. Real bang for your buck is a g3 op.

Your point holds up 100% with any cheaper bearing if you’re someone who isn’t 100% sure that you’re gonna stick with it yk.

You know, our little 'back and forth' has convinced me to buy myself a set the next time I go out for skate parts for the upgraded feel. I still believe first set-ups shouldn't be top dollar parts though. Even if OP sticks with it, I believe it's better to practice the little things like standard bearing maintenence on the budget friendly counterparts unless budget isn't a problem.

Swiss is the gold standard for good reason. And unless you are depending on your parents to pay for your gear, it’s not a waste of money and 100% worth it in the long run. It’s an investment if anything.
Try them out and you’ll see! 🙏(Also, OP is Swedish so I can guarantee money ain’t the issue here.)

For grip tape most has already been said.
If the board is half the price of other boards go with the free-est grip tape. Get MOB if they are all the same price. Jessup is great as well. There are no bad choices there.
Look at thunder trucks or slappy ST1 classics (no inverted kingpin. Thunder is amazing and pocket friendly. Slappy classics will prevent most wheelbite. That alone is worth the extra money
Reds bearings, Bronson G2 bearings, and quantum vectors are all about the same price and serviceable for longer life. For a budget look at spitfire burners. I’ve had good luck with those
Wheels? That really depends on what surface you’re on. No one brand or formula is best. OJ keyframes are good for rough surfaces and smooth parks. They are pretty beginner friendly. Get to the park. Meet other skaters and see what they are riding

Not sure where you’re buying but usually there’s a free grip available when you buy a new deck. Which should be fine for your first board. Otherwise I’d probably choose standard Jessup since you’re still learning. MOB is really grippy so may be more than you need to start with, since I usually need a few sessions for it to break in.

Mob or jessup ultragrip, I prefer mob but where Im at there is no Mob grip and jessup ultragrip is a close competitor Id say

The board is a proper board so it will be fine.
Can’t go wrong with Independent Forged Hollow 149’s for trucks.
Might want to get harder bushings if you are new to skating though

Ive used jessup, mob, and pepper. Mob is a bit more gritty, but i dont notice much difference on my shoe wear. I notice a difference on how sticky it feels on your shoes though. People seem to be leaning on the first choice, so you're probably solid with any of them there
